The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), in collaboration with the British Council and the Faculty of Higher Studies (FES) Acatlán, has undertaken an initiative to make learning English more accessible than ever before.
Through the Virtual Language Environment (Ambiente Virtual de Idiomas or AVI) platform, UNAM offers online English courses, and the standout feature of this initiative is that they are available to the general public without restrictions.
These courses, designed to address diverse needs and skill levels, are divided into two modalities:
Practice and Evaluate: This modality is open to everyone, regardless of their affiliation with the university. Here, students can explore courses that range from basic to advanced intermediate levels.

Learn and Certify: Targeted at UNAM students and faculty enrolled in AVI, this modality focuses on the four fundamental language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
