Artificial intelligence (AI) tackles challenges in various fields, from medicine to engineering. Its ability to process large volumes of data, identify patterns, and make decisions makes it a valuable resource for addressing problems more efficiently and accurately.
One of the main advantages of AI in problem-solving lies in its ability to quickly analyze enormous datasets.
Machine learning algorithms can process information at a speed and scale far beyond human capabilities, allowing for the detection of patterns, correlations, and anomalies that might go unnoticed with traditional methods.
Furthermore, AI enables the automation of complex and repetitive tasks. Through specialized algorithms, it can autonomously perform analysis, predictions, and recommendations, freeing human experts to focus on more strategic and creative aspects of problem-solving.
The technology company Intel has launched a free Artificial Intelligence course aimed at training professionals to address real-world problems.
The initiative focuses on a practical approach to help participants understand the data science workflow, utilize Intel’s portfolio of optimized processors and software, and apply them in solving concrete problems.
Syllabus of Intel’s AI course
Intel’s course covers a complete data science workflow, including:
- Exploring a dataset and training a model
- Preparing data for consumption by the model, including preprocessing and data augmentation techniques
- Criteria for selecting an appropriate framework and network architecture
- Training and deploying deep learning models using Intel’s AI tools
Additionally, it provides an overview of Intel’s artificial intelligence portfolio, emphasizing deep learning problem-solving.
By the end of this course, participants will have acquired practical knowledge in:
- Preparing datasets for use in models
- Training deep learning models using TensorFlow with Intel optimizations
- Deployment on CPU, integrated graphics, and Intel Neural Compute Stick 2 using the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO toolkit
It is estimated that completing the course will take around 5 hours. A basic understanding of AI principles, machine learning, and deep learning is required, as well as programming knowledge in Python and some experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow and Caffe.
